The official launching, fundraising and Exhibition of NewLife Project Inc. Canada took place in Ottawa Ontario on the 26th July 2015 at the Billings Estate National Historic Site. This occasion marked a fresh start for this Not-for-Profit Organization. This occasion was graced with guest speaker, Mrs. Elcho Stewart whose speech was on the need to be grateful as we pursue our vision. The dedication of the Project, Canada version was done by Mrs. Hazel Maki, Co-Founder of Hope for Orphans – Congo in Canada.
Mrs. Brenda Williams highlighted the need to reach out to ladies who are desperately in need of education. More emphasis was placed on the education of girl child by Ms. Matilda Cole. The ceremony was followed by a fundraising and exhibition, displaying the various talents of students in the different production such as customized Tie and dye/Batik fabric, shirts, dresses and accessories.
As we embark on this new journey in Canada, we ask that you all help us in building self-esteemed, self-sufficient and economic empowered women who will continue to develop and transform the lives of other at risk women and children through education and entrepreneurship programs.
