Black History Month

A big thank you to our guest speakers and participants for making our Black History Month celebration a success. We kicked off our ten years celebration by acknowledging all the great work done by our Black Heroes and ‘Sheroes’ and a presentation of the NewLife activities in Canada.
Our speakers were inspiring and with every unique story of their personal experiences in career, business, family, community, they shared precious life nuggets to help us empower our future.

We relaunched our NewLife Women’s World forum, a safe space where women are allowed to share their stories, inspire others and be given a platform to develop their self-worth and dignity. We launched another chapter of our youth empowerment program which addresses crucial issues facing young individuals through workshops, mentoring, career development, vocational training and community engagement It was a warm interaction and conversation from both speakers and audience, each bringing in their own perspective of what it means to empower the future.
