Dominique Dennery, M.A. FCMC, CPF
Dominique Dennery is an award-winning facilitator, certified management consultant and certified coach who has spent more than 30 years supporting individual and collective potential. As an expert facilitator, she specializes in difficult discussions within organizations engaged in cultural change. She is also the facilitator of choice for national inclusion dialogues on issues such as racism and gender-based violence. In 2018, she was selected to facilitate the pan-Canadian federal anti-racism consultations that led to significant policy and program changes. More recently, she has supported efforts to build the capacity of black communities and engage senior decision-makers in dialogues on systemic change.
As a coach, Dominique is particularly interested in facilitating mental health with racialized professionals and working with non-racialized people to become true allies. She helps individuals and groups learn to heal, empowering women and racialized people to reclaim and thrive. In addition to this work, Dominique is a sculptor and her works are in public and private collections in Canada and abroad. One of his most remarkable sculptures is the bronze bust of Toussaint Louverture, a hero of the Haitian revolution, commissioned for the 375th anniversary of the city of Montreal. Dominique is also a board member of the Ottawa Art Gallery, where she advocates for racialized artists and cultural workers.

She is passionate about reaching out to women and children, developing their lives, and making a difference, with agape love through mentoring, and building of their self-worth and self-esteem.
She created New Life Women’s World for women in North America to have a safe place for discussions on topics that educate and empower women for their next step in fulfilling their dreams. From Canada she has sponsored several women and children educational and rehabilitation programs. She also established the NewLife Designs as a channel of education about the Black culture and its values through crafts and fashion, and the NewLife French Tutoring. Her experience working with women and youths over the years has helped her to relate with residents in Ottawa community as she is determined to see women rise to a place of accomplishment and establish their own business as Entrepreneurs. In 2020, Brenda was nominated as one of the 100 Accomplished Black Women across Canada because of her support to Black women and girls, her demonstrated leadership role modelling and volunteer activities. She received a 2021 Community Leadership Award from the Black History Ottawa.

Yetunde is the CEO and Creative Director of Saphya Events & Co. Inc. She is a leader, healthcare provider, community builder, and youth mentor who is committed to empowering people, finding solutions to issues that arise in her community, and delivering quality results to the people she serves. She also works as the Administrative Coordinator of the Diane Morrison Hospice at the Ottawa Mission.
Her vast experience in the non-profit and private sectors includes Event Planning and Management, Hospitality, Health and Wellness, Customers Service and Public Relations, Networking, Fundraising, and Project Management.
She serves as a Board of Director at NewLife Project Inc., a nonprofit organization that caters to at-risk women and children in Sierra Leone, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Haiti, United States, and Canada. She also serves as a Board of Director at the Afro-Canadian Chamber of Commerce, which is dedicated to supporting Black businesses, entrepreneurs, and aspiring entrepreneurs. In addition, she is an Executive of the Young Professional Network at the Ottawa Mission, advocating for persons experiencing homelessness. She has held various leadership positions within her community and continues to find ways to lend out her expertise and skills to the Black community. She is passionate about giving back to her community and finds ways to promote the Africans in diaspora within the Canadian society.

Caroline Allman has a diverse professional portfolio that includes digital marketing, graphic design, communications and administrative acumen. She currently works at Carleton University where she is on the team that administers the University’s Co-op Program. In her free time, she volunteers within her community supporting various initiatives, from supporting the black business community in the National Capital Region to designing and selling products to provide support for marginalized women and girls. Originally from Toronto Ontario, Caroline has a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Ontario Tech University and a college diploma in Fashion Techniques and Design from George Brown College.
